In this episode, I get to sit down with Colleen Biggs, Co-Founder of Lead Up for Women, a weekly VoiceAmerica radio show which focuses on helping and supporting women entrepreneurs and women in general. After being a part of corporate America for 17 years, Colleen realized that her true passion and calling were to help women act on their purpose and what’s in their hearts by providing actionable tips and strategies and, so, Lead Up for Women was born. Today, Colleen travels around the country putting up pop-up Lead Up for Women conferences and bringing local leaders and national speakers to share their stories so that women can regain their power and build their confidence to improve their business and themselves.
A lot of women are impacted by the lack of confidence to speak up and believe in themselves to step into pursuing and acting on their purpose. It sounds like a women's issue, but men need to take note as well — it really impacts everyone. Colleen and Jennifer discuss tactics and strategies that people can use to speak up and take the lead, as well as why it’s so important to realize that you do not need permission from anyone else to lead your life. They also dive into the difference between enabling and empowering others, and how this ties into managing vs. leading a team professionally. Tune in to find out more!
