Kelly Garcia Kilmer is a Real Estate Broker for Keller Williams Preferred Realty and a Coach for Hero Nation. With over 20 years of real estate experience, and even an investor herself, she helps Realtors®, lenders, and small business owners reach their goals and dreams through specialized coaching. Kelly puts herself out there, knocks on those doors, and builds connections with her clients so that they can realize their potential and succeed too.

When it comes to starting a business, there can be a lot of fear around that. Fear of letting people down, fear of not being capable, the fear of failing. I hope Kelly’s story inspires you to get out there and at least try. Kelly was a recently divorced and single mom when she began her journey. She dived head first and started taking in as many resources as she can, she found people that inspired her, and now she guides her clients on their journey by asking them smart questions that help them clarify their vision for success. She’s been there, too and she knows how tough it can get, but with support and guidance, you can pull yourself up by your bootstraps and reach your goals.

Today’s episode is going to be a show about threes. I’ll be sharing with you three things in three different categories. The first one starts with time management — or, as I like to call it, priority management — because we can’t always manage our time, but we can manage our priorities.  We actually have three choices every single week and, based on our choice, it will either leave you one step closer to your goal or one step further from your goal. By getting clear on your goals and priorities, you set the intention, every day, that you will succeed.

The second one is self-analysis and self-reflection. Whatever you had to do for that day, a client meeting, a networking event, write down three things that you did well, then you’re going to write down two things that you could have done better, and the last and final step, write down one action step that you can improve upon. The third and last action tip today is sales-related. On the physical side, we might not notice us leaning in and getting excited when at a meeting, this energy is great initially, but it can often become too intense to the person taking in that energy. Find out how you can smooth this out and the best way to close the sale in today’s episode!

In this episode, I get to sit down with Heather Wiskes, CEO and Elite Coach with Strategic Money Solutions. Heather comes from a computer programming and accounting background, but she eventually realized how little people actually understand how money flows and how interest works. She decided to find a way to really help people make a powerful impact on their financial future and so Strategic Money Solutions was born.

Almost everybody these days has some form of debt. The key to dealing with it, as Heather shares, is to first change your mindset about it. Instead of approaching it with fear and losing sleep over it, own your debt and find a way to navigate it with empowerment. Heather explains how her algorithm helps people make payments on their debt in a way that maximizes impact and takes the stress out of navigating debt. She also reveals her strategies for dealing with credit card debt, as well as some real-life examples of clients she has helped. Tune in to find out more about how you too, can own your debt.

In this episode, I want to talk about something that stops us from chasing opportunities when they present themselves — assumptions! Many of us as salespeople have the reluctance to approach the top producers in our fields because we wonder how we are going to compete with the person that they’re already working with that they really love. That’s an assumption and we need to overcome that to make the most of the opportunities we get.

I share some verbiage that you can use to approach this topic and how to overcome this limiting belief, as well as concrete examples of phrases you can use to start and frame the conversation. The trick is to focus on the fact that you’re not there to replace their existing relationships but to expand and help them grow their business. I have some easy strategies and tips about simple yet effective things you can do to start this conversation, as well as some of the things you should definitely avoid doing. Tune in to find out more about how you can set yourself apart from the competition.

Stop Talking, Take Action, Get Results Podcast Episode 146: “Niche to Grow Rich”

May 2, 2019

In this episode, I get to sit down with Lorrie Richins, a personal and family empowerment coach, and the business owner of Whole Family Mentoring. She focuses on helping individuals and families heal and feel whole again. Growing up, she experienced a lot of trauma in a fractured home, but today, she is a mother of seven, married for 34 years, and working to provide other families the tools she has acquired to improve their family lives.

In her experience helping people feel whole again and empowering fractured families, Lorrie has observed that most families face three main problems:

1) Ineffective communication: Lorrie shares some of the unhealthy ways people deal with problems, and how and why people struggle to express themselves.

2) Lack of proper problem-solving skills: From the perspective of a parent, Lorrie reveals how to groom children to have those developmental capacities.

3) Unresolved past trauma: Lorrie explains the trauma timeline technique, as well as some of her tools for opening the dialogue about childhood traumas.

Lorrie and Jen also discuss the four possible outcomes when a person decides to step into their own power in the relationship instead of allowing the other party to control them, as well as the SOS signs that your family relationship may be in need of professional help. Tune in to also find out how all of this translates and applies not just to family relationships but in your business as well.
